Most of the personal information we process is provided to us directly by you for one of the following reasons:
- Signing up to receive information from us
- Purchasing tickets, food and drink
- Providing feedback on our events
We use the information that you have given us in order to:
- respond to enquiries
- promote and market Hambleden Cinema
- inform you about Hambleden Cinema events and activities, and connected events and activities that take place in or near Hambleden
- process payments for tickets, food and drinks
- report about the success of our activities to our funders and donors.

- WhatsApp – we may use WhatsApp to contact you if you have provided your phone number and you have signed up to WhatsApp. We will not make your contact information available to WhatsApp users. View WhatsApp’s privacy policy.
We will not share your information with third parties for marketing purposes, however we may share information about relevant third party events or activities with you.
How we store your personal information
Your information is securely stored in encrypted online file storage to which only Hambleden Cinema Committee members have access. When you provide information on paper, the paper records are securely destroyed as soon as possible after that information has been transferred to our electronic files.
We keep your name, phone number and email address for 2 years after your last interaction with Hambleden Cinema. We will then dispose your information by deleting it permanently from our online files.
We do not store customer financial information.
We keep photos, video and audio recordings for 5 years. We will then dispose your information by deleting it permanently from our online files and removing any clips from our website and social media channels.
You can withdraw your consent or object to our use of your personal data at any time by emailing [email protected].
Transferring your information outside the UK
We may transfer information collected about you to countries outside the UK, for example, this may happen if any of our service-providers’ servers are located in a country outside of the UK. These countries may not offer the same level of protection for the information collected about you, although we will take steps to ensure that appropriate security measures are taken to collect, store and use your information in accordance with this Privacy Policy, the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the applicable data protection legislation.
